Tatai Hono: Weaving At Kawerau Woodfest 2008.


The objectives of Tatai Hono are to revitalise traditional Taonga to ensure its continuation, understanding and relevance into the future; expose students to the possibility of making a living from their skills and provide a platform for the introduction of new business opportunities. One of the exhibitors for Tatai Hono in 2008 was Te Roopu Waihanga Taonga o Putauaki. This group has been active since the late 1980's ensuring the craft of weaving is kept alive.
