Marc Spijkerbosch is a talented international artist who has painted a number of murals around the Kawerau community.
These include "Kelly Tarltons" in Kawerau (2009), an aquarium design located in the children's playground in Ranfurly Court and the Skatepark Taniwha (2009) located at the Kawerau Skateboard park Glasgow Street. Skatepark Taniwha was so effective that Council recieved a phone call from a worried resident that "those kids are demolishing the skate-ramp!"
